Re: wicked supercar

Whats so special? It is just some welded drag approved cage with tubular susp., some ls6, some custom fiberglass body, and BBS mags. (a kit car). They could have at least thrown some twin turbos on there.

What i would build.
done up 10 cylinder out of a viper with some nice turbos. ( Would be close to 1300hp and 800lbs, at least)

or Chevy 472 block with custom fuel injection and two turbos . If wanted it could reach 2000hp easily, but the rest of the car would not hold up including the t56 tranny.

probably the most expensive part would the body with that special composit. $189000 is way too much for it

The SSC Aero and Ultimate Aero are hand-built in Washington.

The car is built on a 1" thick or so aluminum honeycomb section, to that metal front and rear subframes are bonded and bolted together. Then a cage is built for race cars, or not for street cars.

The Entire car is made primarily out of carbon fiber. Some cars have kevlar or s-glass on some parts or as a layer, depends when its made and what options the owner choses...

The actual body you see is mostly carbon fiber. It has a base coat put down first on the body molds so you don't actually see all the carbon....

There are many parts which are all handbuilt that go into making the Mt900. Carbon is just not the theme for its lightweight and strength, but also for appearance. The entire inside cockpit is almost all visible carbon fiber twill, from the floor, doors, roof, dash, pillars, gauge pods etc...

It turned out to be the strongest car ever tested in a roll over, and when you consider how every part is vacume cured with the resin being bled out of it, you end up with VERY thin strong pieces. When you think about how something that thin is engineered into crash boxes, body panels, and the cockpit, and turns out to be one of the strongest cars out there, you realize its not just some kit car, its a well planned and designed beast.......

There are also options for the car, a lightweight version that weighs less then 2000 pounds, and you can also add a supercharger to the LS6 to get more then 600hp on it.........

I won't go too much more into it, but the car has HUGE brakes, BIG tires(do they come any wider?) its 2,000 pound weight, and 600hp optionally.... match that up with stiff race car suspension and an extremely strong chassis, you have one of the best handling cars out there..... generally speaking in all around performance numbers, this car is king
