Cube to be sold in US?

Rumors state that the CUBE may be released here in the Good ol' US along with the March/Micra... has anyone else heard this?

Yes, Nissan confirmed late last year that an American version of the Micra/March would be coming to US in 2006 some time. It will be powered probably by either a 1.5litre or a 1.6litre engine. The CUBE may also come to the US but I've not heard anything about that, I mean Nissan were going to sell it in Europe but went back on it.

I did hear that the Cube would be released in USA but have not seen pictures or heard a date.

Re: Cube to be sold in US?

Loved it since I first saw it on GT4. Definatly something to customize, a Japanese xB. Nice to see something will style and the reliability of Nissan.

Re: Cube to be sold in US?

It's amusing that this thread was started 4 years ago, and now Nissan is promising the Cube to America AGAIN

Quote:
In January 2008, Shiro Nakamura, Nissan's global design director stated that the Nissan Cube will be coming to the U.S. market as the Nissan Denki Cube. Making its debut at the March 2008 New York International Auto Show, the U.S.-bound Cube is a plug-in hybrid that will get 37 mpg–U.S. (6.36 L/100 km / 44.4 mpg–imp) and will be equipped with "e-4WD", which includes an electric motor operating (when demand dictates) alongside the gasoline engine. The Nissan’s Denki Cube's U.S. release is scheduled to occur in early 2009. [1]
