Best full size SUV's
I personally think a gmc yukon/ tahoe are the best. They are less expensive then the escalade but share similularies in many areas and are more "rugged" very good power from 5.3 (285 h.p) V8 IMO. what are your thoughts??

what happend to the nissan pathfinder armada? rugged good looks, very nice amenities, fastest truck ( besides lightning and srt 10 ram ) and best in class towing, state off the art looking dash board ( compared to the yukon atleast )

Re: Best full size SUV's
yes i agree that the GM dash is alittle outdated but the truck is a mix between luxury and ruggedness. It offers the option of a dvd player Onstar and many other luxuries yet it gives bold styling thats not overdone. The Yukon and other GM suvs offer more standerd ammenities and the nissans or some other SUV's and the nissans look is too bulky. The GM line of SUV's also has one of the highest towing capacities as well but its a little bit under nissan by about 400lbs but 8600 Lbs is impressive. the yukon does have more optional power than most other SUV's that comes from the 6.0 with 335 hp and 380 ft lbs of torque

Im a chevy guy at heart, but the Tahoe is outdated. I think out of the choices, the new dodge durango is the best. Im not too fond of the exterior styling but it has great power for a good price.

i agree with the outdating of the tahoe, but i think the Yukon looks much better than the tahoe because of the addition of lots of chrome and the interior styling is better in the yukon. The Yukon has better front end styling as well and i personally think that all SUVs are overpriced. They all produce good power(except ford) but the prices are a little high. A new yukon loaded is $47,000, escalade $60,000 and so on...

Yeah the yukon does look much better than the tahoe, and because im such a loyal chevy guy (and i get a 20% discount on any new GM car i buy) I would get a Yukon over all of the others. But until the new Tahoe/Yukon comes out, i still think the Durango is the best value |

Re: Best full size SUV's
I like the Durango because for purely street driving because of the horrible departure and approach angles and the Hemi power is a plus.
I really like the Armada though...I heard it did well off road. |

Speaking of the interior, out of the all of the mainstream luxury SUVs out there, only Ford put any effort into making its luxury SUV's interior not looking like its lower SUV counterpart's interior. If you check the Navigator's interior against the Expedition's, you will see a huge difference in interior design and material.
Now check the Yukon's and the Escalade's; the Armada's and the QX56's; the Land Cruiser's and the GX470's... all effortless clone interiors. |

I've seen an aviators interiors compared to the explorer and the difference is stunning...However, that doesnt make it a worthwhile investment... For this comparison I would take the Durango, with a tahoe a decent second...brawny looks, Hemi V8 you can't go wrong...i just wouldn't run around like a dimwit telling everybody "yeahhh its got hemi"

I'm gonna go with the Dodge Durango. I think it's ugly like every other one on the list, but it doesn't visually assault you like the others utes up there. Plus, it's the smallest and comes with a Hemi.
