Hi,my check engin light comes on and I went to auto zone and checkit on acode reader and it said that code P0803 .Up shift solenoid circuit malfunction
so I reset it light went out for a day.I went back when it came on again and reset it again .Next day on again. So then I went to the error code display and came up with a code 28-TCS C1214 H it says that it is Solenoid Valve Relay Contact or Cail Circuit Open.I reset it and again light gos out It said no codes Pass.Drive it a day light come on again . I check the error code and its the same mesage . Where is the solenoid Valve Relay contact and also the coil circuit open. How do I go about fixing this prob????
I got the car it already had on it the shift bypass !st to 4th.I would like to try taken it out and see if things get better. Can someone tell me where the bypass is??? THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP Allen

A code with a circuit problem can be the wiring instead of solenoid.
You need to check wiring and circuits first.
What year engine and transmission?
Tell us more about this shift bypass kit.
Is it external or in valve body?
Did the car just start the problem or did it come with the car?

It sounds like a electrical problem. May be just a bad wire or connection or circuit or switch on it.
Look over the wiring and grounds and wiring plugins real good.
I would sugest you find a dealer or good repair shop that has some factory trained techs to check it out for you.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Tip on going to the dealer
Ask that only a factory certified gasoline engine/transmission performance specialist work on your car.
Not all dealerships are concerned with how repairs are dispatched, and not all dealership techs bother to take advantage of the training offered by Ford (the vast majority of which is paid training). If the dealer is uncooperative, ask for your money back and call around for a dealer that will accommodate you.
