Re: Creation of a VW R32
Cool, glad to see this project is being continued.
I know have to do much of the same conversion to the kit I found a few months ago: I have to make it a 2-door to match the Golf GL I bought in October. My biggest obstacles are the door handle recesses and the hubcaps. I might just have to buy alloys for the real car rather than make new ones for the model |

Re: Creation of a VW R32
Little update time, I got the paint (Deep blue pearl) mixed by a local dealer. I sprayed 5-8 coats, follwed by duplicolor clear as i thought tamiya clear would have caused problems. The paint seems a little darker than the actual car color, but i have to deal with it. I polished it out, and i polished through the paint in two spots, they will be covered up by some light coats of paint and clear through my airbrush. I Also made progress on the chasis, which i will show some pics of it tomorrow. Comments and suggestions please.
The little dots on it are rain spots. Last edited by MidMazar; 05-30-2010 at 07:41 PM. |

Re: Creation of a VW R32
Very nice work. It´s a pitty you didn´t correct the side windows as "patate" has told you.
