Where is fuel pump relay located?

Where can i find the fuel pump relay on my 1980 242Gt non turbo?
I have been told that these go out often and i should carry a spare.
Was wondering if this is true.

Thanks

Al

Re: Where is fuel pump relay located?

it's located under the glove box, take down the kick panel, there should be 2 plastic screws and a rubber garmet that goes around your heat duct, the relay is either white or green,Volvo used both type relays,i have opened up the relays and repaired them, check for broken soldier on the board.

Thanks for the info.
Are these relays prone to failure?
