1998 Mustang GT

Built this one fairly quick between parts on the '76 vette...replicating my dad's 1998 Mustang GT. It's a 1/25 snap-together kit...

Re: 1998 Mustang GT

I looked at the first two pics and thought, holy smokes! This build looks like a real car. I bet your dad really likes this model. Nice work with the interior. The seats look like actual fabric.

Re: 1998 Mustang GT

He liked it very much, and was suprised as well. I used rustoleum textured paint for the interior, and lightly misted over the front seats with satin brown trying to achieve a fabric look. The carpet flocking looks spot on in it's container, but looks lighter after I applied it. Oh well. The tail lights were molded into the body, so I used BMF over them and painted the red over that. The body paint is Dupli-color. They dont make his paint code in a spray can, so I ended up using a GM color, but it looks very close. I'll have to take pics of the two cars together when he gets it out this spring...
