Re: How much power do you have?

I am a Mustang guy, so I know those mods very well

I am going to set mine up the same as your, except I will be going with a little higher comp ratio. Everything you have done to your GTR, to me, is the right thing to do, but I am not sure if I would go that high of a duration. I would be looking at 256/9.1 260/9.1, unless you really like the idle, and drivability of the 2 260s?

Re: Re: How much power do you have?

SkylineUSA,

The Tomei 260degree cams are very drivable, the idle is just a nice touch, the low speed vacume is still pretty decent giving the car a stock like low speed character. The Tomei cams also retain the same factory stock base circle and in most cases don't need any shims (mine didn't) and the 9.15mm lift is the largest lift cam you can fit without machining the head. Some of the other brands only go as high as 8.7mm. I did my homework on the cams before rolling my car into the shed to change them and for a street / circuit car these are the pick of the crop.

As an example a freind of mine over here in Perth fitted them to his car, he has 2530 sized hiflows and picked up around 100hp over factory cams playing with the cam timing. I think he ended up with about 8 and 10degrees advance on them. His end figure was 527rwhp (dyno dynamics) on our premium pump fuel at 1.3bar.

Re: How much power do you have?

redynoed again with decent clutch good plugs and a nice mild day.

176.1kw (236hp) aprox 525Nm (387.45 ftlb) torque @ only 10.4psi (0.7bar)

installing apexi AVCR shortly to try 12 - 13psi and see what gains can be made on the standard turbo and intercooler before changes are made
