The simplist upgrades would be a drop-in K&N air filter and Bilstein shocks.

How much time and money? An HO conversion is a good place to start, you can do close to a 90% HO build up on your current 5.0. But the best solution would be a rebuilt HO. You can get a 215hp HO complete and rebuilt for about 2,000. Add in installation if you have someone else do it, and a few cheap bolt on mods and you can have close to (or over if you put 5k in it) 300HP for roughly 3,500-5000.

Yes, getting a Police Package on your Crown Victoria would be awesome.

Invested $17,564 in my Crown Vic!
I don't know if anyone really cares anymore about who's driving some big, tank-sized Crown Vic down the streets of Panama City Beach, but I'll be the first to tell you - - - I DO! Hell, why would I have invested over $10K in my 91 model if I thought it was a waste of time? Anyway, I'll tell you what I did when I get back from a car show in L.A. Hope I place at least 3rd.

I wouldn't pull up to me next to a red light because, what you may not be aware of, is my Crown Vic doesn't have the 302...it has the 5.0L HO. So, think about that before nailing the trottle! |

Re: upgrades
I like fords. I like crown vics, Love em. BUTTTTT- I have a 95 chev caprice police package. It had the corvette engine in it. It would eat anything up, and I didnt have the tuning & tweaking done yet.
Unofortunately someone loved it more than I did, and stole it from me!! that was 2 years ago, still not found. I love fords & CV`s, but I would give anything to get my caprice back. |
