Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Hello .
I planned a small amount of new parts. But this again does not work. It's a big part of the future set and I need to check it all together. dashboard another in a version for rally. I made a completely new one. In front of the new panel and there will be a spare wheel. I've put together parts of the interior. I tried to connect the body and chassis, but it did not work the first time. Several times I rewrote the side panels and rear panel of the interior. When the body has taken the right position, I set the engine This is a general view of the model. But I think apply primer. Now a different color body. And the overall shape is not entirely clear. And for comparison, model 308 Monogramm Your comments are very useful for me. Thank you. |

Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Hi guys. Some new parts in the engine room. Production of these parts is time consuming and the process is slower than I want.

Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Looks very nice. Engine detail will help sell the kits. I already have a Big Model kit of the Pozzi car along with the Tilt kit from Japan. The Tilt kit is of a group 4 car with different flares as raced at Daytona and Sebring in 1977 or 1978 if I remember correctly. It is the best plastic kit of a 308 to date.

Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Hi.
I need your help. I made a roll cage. But I'm not sure that everything is correct. I see different cars on different configurations of pipes. I think that the two pipes are replicas of Ferrari. But I have thought to leave the two pipes. Cut off the excess will not be difficult. I think it should solve every builder himself. What do you think? And the second question: I started to think about the decals for this version of the livery. I can make a blue decals, but some of them will be very difficult when applied. If you do only part of the blue decals, there may be differences in color. I think maybe to paint the body in two colors using a mask. What do you think? |

Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Roman,
First of all, I'm extremely happy to see this progress, it looks fantastic. Now to your questions - I agree that two pipes is a good idea as removing one is somewhat easier than adding one. As for the blue areas, why not have both options - include both the decals and the painting (colour code and mask?) instructions and then the builder will be able to decide which way to choose or maybe to go with a combination of paint and decals.

Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Hi Roman,
I'm 99% sure there wasn't 2 diagonal bars on the works Ferrari 308... But also sure the bar starts from the corner of the main central part, not from the side vertical one as you did on your rollcage, and it's visible on the burnt 308 pic. If you release the pioneer version no need to put additional bars to me, belonging to each of us to work and modify the rollcage if needed to get eventual privates cars. Concerning the paint, I'm not for a decal/paint combo solution, half of a thing + half of another one never did an entire thing... I would better appreciate a good masking plan with templates to get a full painted body. If decal and paint dont perfectly match (and it -almost- never does... ) that may be visible as the noze in the middle of the face. I'm for painting. |

Re: Ferrari 308 GR4
Thank you guys. Your advice is really helping me.
Phil, you're absolutely right about the top of the pipe. I have changed this part. With the decals blue, I see two problems: I'm not sure what will happen carefully put on the engine cover and front bumper. And yet, perhaps a little transparency is blue with a red body. And I also agree with Phil, the combination will not be good. I will try to make a model decals for bumper and covers engine. Maybe it's not as difficult as it seems . |
