m 21 trans vin #
where can i locate the vin id # on the m21 for a 1970 442 to see if it is origional trans, thanks john

Should be a metal tag with letters/numbers attached to the trans.
Plate indicates year of production, code letters and serial #. What engine does this have, 455 ? If its just a cutlass should have OD. If its a 442 w/455 then it should have OG - except w/ram air. The 442 with 455 & w/ ram air is OW. Hope that helps

its a 442 455 manual shift. tag reads 1234762ka, other #s are pos12b, 3925661, 3857584, 3952648, thanks trying to see if matches vin # last 6 digits are 123908 does not look like a match but can these #s tell me any info
