Hi guys

Just been reading about the problems you are having. I've had my '99 1.8 Legnum for a year now it was a fresh import. I've had no problems with it at all since ive had it, ive been using 98 octane since i got it.
Heres a link to get a English owners handbook for Jap imports here in NZ.

Re: Fuel consumption

Hi guys,
I bought a Legnum 1.8 ST GDI 2WD from 2000yr not even a week ago and was looking for a handbook when I found this website and I am shocked reading all this things.
Does someone has the same car or knows the fuel consumption and specifications of younger Legnum's?
The Mitsubishi dealer was telling me the same things how economical it is compared to the Legnum 2.4l 4WD 2000yr which she is also selling.

Re: Fuel consumption

Hey

Kyle here (Newbie)

Just so everyone knows, if your Legnum is running ridiculously rich on fuel and is shuddering, doesn't pick up speed quickly, stalls but idles nicely (well better) in neutral etc

Its the stalks on your coil packs!

When the spark plug ignites, if your stalks are Fuc**d then it short circuits on your engine block (giving the shuddering and stalling) effectively making your car run on 3 cylinders

A new stalk cost me $26 NZ, and it was so easy to install my Suzuki driving mother changed it!

So check your stalks before you start replacing injectors and stuff like that

Thanks Guys

Re: Fuel consumption

Also I don't know if it's been said but legnums are suppose to run on minimum 100 octane, so use a higher octane, if you use 91 then your car will Fu*k out.
