Actually Enzo probably wouldn't think too highly of modifying them mainly b/c he wasn't too big on the idea of turning Ferrari into road going cars in the first place(I've read this in research and herad this on several shows about Ferrari).

Well maybe I am wrong about Enzo, but just b/c it is a Ferrari does not make it a sin to modify. Having someone kick my ass in a modded 360 or if the heavens would have it, a modded F40, then all the better. I respect a person that much more b/c they are using the car for what it was intended, sport driving, not cruising for chicks showing them that you have alot of money. I am not saying that everybody that has one is in it to look good, so don't chastise me.
And what is the meaning or definition of a road going car? Are you saying that Enzo would have been mad if I modded an F40? DPG |

I really have no idea what Enzo would think. I don't have any problem with modified Ferrari's as long as it's done right and sounds good too. For my personal self though I would add exhaust and leave it alone.
I also agree with you 100% about driving it. Even though I wouldn't cruise for chicks neccesarily, it wouldn't bother me one bit if they wanted to go for a ride. Especially if they fine.:hehe: |

There is a line between a piece of art and "man that is a bad ass car".
A piece if art stays inside and the "bad ass car" gets battle scars (just hopefully not too many). There is a difference also between making the car better in the sense of, the original person did not make it good enough in the times and for its intentions, and making a car better for the sake of the love of racing. If it was thought in this way, my fathers Malibu would have much more power and many more luxuries. It has to stop somewhere. If you take a car that was created by Enzo or created in Enzo's view and stay along those lines of creativity, then I think he would not have a problem. But taking a Ferrari and putting a body kit on it or totally changing a complete aspect of the car, then yes there does seem to be a problem. I can't believe that Enzo thought that everything that he made was perfect and no one should touch it, if so, he was not thinking in the right mindset. No hard feelings, just sharing my opinion. Your opinion is fully understood Crazyjay. Thanks, DPG |

no hard feelings at all!
im just saying i think a car can be an object of art and a badass car at the same time... e.g the 996 GT3 is a phenomenal racing weapon and at the same time, it comes in an evocative, legendary physical form... i'm fine for tuning most cars, but when you get to Porsche, Ferrari etc... that breed, for me anyway, is made to be worshiped as it is born cheers, jay |
