Actually, they are zinc plated iron.

Cool, I gotta go get an opener. I consider it "vital" camp equipment. Thanks for the info.

Maybe an electric can opener on the other side.......hmmmm...

Not (all) 4x4 related, but here goes:

I'm replacing my stock SE changer with a JVC digifine2.1 KD-SH77. I like the changer, but it lacks the aux input I need for my MP3 player. The new headunit has a line in on the face. I should be receiving it tomorrow...can't wait for the install.

I also will be adding a couple of tow hooks on the rear. I don't have a hitch, so I need to expand my towing options back there. Any advice for where to mount your standard 2-bolt tow hooks?

I may add a hitch later on this year (when I get the cash). I found a UHaul hitch for about $170 less than the Nissan hitch. We'll see...

Dreaming about a front hitch for the multimount for a Warn winch. Does anybody have any experience with this option?

brad

Really? :o I guess I figured that since they weighed almost nothing, they were aluminum. Oops!

Looks like my next mod will be vent visors. truckperformance.com has the Lund visors on sale for $30.

Well, I just put on 31" BFG MT/KM's and an ARB bumper. I have SAW torsion bars and AAL, siting at home. The next mods will be Bilsteins and Sliders. Then I am done for a while until I deem more neccessary. I am trying to develop my driving capabilities. It will be a while before I need more mods than these.
