00 air doesn't redirect

I have a 00 4cyl model that just blows air out the front vents and a little bit at feet and defrost. Can't change it, i couldn't find a person with the same problem anywhere on google or here. Should i get a air inlet door actuator or could i troubleshoot something else first, maybe the flap(s) are jammed, if so how can i unjamm, or is there a fuse?
Thanks

The mode door actuator is vacuum operated. Check for vacuum leak at the vacuum tank under the hood, trace the hose from the hood to the a/c control head. If all the vacuum system is ok, pull the actuator off and try and manually move the mode door.

Re: 00 air doesn't redirect

wow i fixed it for 1.50 all the vacuum hoses were bad, could i ask you another question? One of the hoses hooked into a fitting that came out of the driver side front fender, i couldn't tell if there was another hose that went somewhere else from the fender to maybe the interior of the car, so if it stops working again i probably need to replace that hose, or is it a metal tube?
