Tornado?

I always see the infomercials for the Tornado fuel saver.......supposed to increase fuel economy and boost HP.....do these things actually work......i believe that they would, but i'd like to hear from someone who actually owns one.

if this is the electronic turbo thingy then no. But if it is that little thing that spins your intake air: mabey, but I doubt it. You could see a gain of 0.125 HP and mabey a fractional increase in MPG. I have no experience with one of these but I just don't believe these wonder products (wouldn't a manufacturer have already used one if it actually did this?)

its supposed to, but i fail to see how something so simple could provide that much hp. The "Tornado" is some aluminum or tin
circular intake device with angled fins that is placed in the air intake
tube. It's supposed to make the passing air swirl, to better mix with
the fuel for more power and efficiency. Iv'e heard nothing remarkable about this product if it does help its unoticeable to anyone I have talked to about it.

No, it doesn't work at all.

actually i know a few people with it and they say they really notice a difference. its not that big but apparently it works. you also have to remember, on the infomercial, they have it hooked up to a 7 series bmw that apparently has been worked over a little, at least i saw the k&n intake. bmw's are also finely tuned. i think that it does work but it has a lot to do with the rest of your intake/exhaust system.

Exactly, otherwise you would see it in production cars more often, or something like it at least.
