What color for Skyline R32?

Today I bought a Tamiya Skyline R32 for 10euros. not bad.
But I don't want to paint it some dull black or gray.

I was thinking purple with white rims.

Any other cool ideas?

Why not black? I love black on R32 and R33's.

Failing that, mix up a ridiculously dark purple/blue - or why not try a base coat of metallic black and a translucent purple lacquer?

make it red, a real deep blood red... and with black rims, black fins (big fins) and cf bonnet... possibly cf boot, but i don't personally like cf boots.

Ok, like, deep darker blood red, like on the 67' 427 vettes! gloss black wheels and, a uh, black wing, maybe black bonnet with like, a red graphic.

I don't like red or black on cars. It might look good but it's just to common. I want somethig a bit more special.
Like the Diablo I'm working on now:: Lime Green.

I allready decided on doing the bonnet gloss black. Deep Red sound cool... or some dark cherry color. maybe red clearcoat on gunmetal?
I don't know about the black rims. bronze might look cool too.

I got a good suggestion. Gloss black the entire body. Set for 1 week, get low-adhesion 14day blue M3 Painters Masking tape, mask off the hood and trunklid if you want. Then, use some Transparent red in a spray can, or airbrush of your choice, and lay 3 light mist coats over the black. 1week later unmask the hood and/or trunklid and spray a lacquer clear over it, and puff, you have a deep cherry red body, with gloss black hood and/or trunklid . Hope this helps bigtime.

The whole cherry think sounds good.
I think I'll have to go look for some red clearcoat.
