possible new 928?
There has been a rumor for years that Porsche is working on a new 928!
It should be getting a 6.0lt-650bhp-v10 engine. If the real car comes close to what the pictures look like it will be fantastic. Its massive and elegant at the same time plus ofcourse it has Porsche performance. Has anyone heard more about it? i think it would be lovely. more on it here: http://gmotors.eu/blog/?p=12 |

Re: possible new 928?
i like the idea of a new 928, i have a 944, i just like the front engine rwd layout. that pic(if its a 928 concept) makes it look like its not gonna live up to porsche namesake. it looks big and bulky, yet refined.
and according to some magazine i have, laying somewhere among god only knows wat else, the 928 is a car that porsche would like to rebuild, i believe as a 2dr version of the Panamera, or something like that. it's price would b up by the dodge viper, but compete with cars like bentley in luxery, and the performance of an aston martin. something like that

Re: possible new 928?
There have been rumors about a new 928 for many years. I was looking at some hopeful artist renditions in Road & Track back in 2001. These days Porsche has a V8 again so it should happen. Irony is that the original 928 would be a hit these days much more so than back in the '70s, coz people want luxury more now.
Porsche should have made a new 928 instead of the fugly Panamera. Porsche shouldn't have tried to buy VW, but what the hell do I know right? Porsche babe |
