RUNS BUT NEEDS ENGINE WORK. 2nd owner, purchased from original lady owner in L.A., California 09/2004 with 120K mi.
Windsor Blue/tan, 122,703 mi., pwr. brakes, pwr. sunroof, manual locks, windows, mirrors, & steering. Original EK1 CVCC 1.8L 4 cylinder & 5-speed manual.
A/C retrofitted to R-134a. Tires new when purchased.
It has been garaged its entire life, never seen snow or salt, rarely seen rain, never been hit. Body is straight & rust-free. Paint has some patina but is shiny. Interior is good, no cracks or fading, but driver's seat needs recovered. Aftermarket CD/stereo installed but not wired up. All glass is good. Has all original paperwork (except window sticker,) original spare tire & jack, complete service history, sales literature, owner's manual and factory service manual.
Ran when purchased but needed a new engine due to a dead cylinder from preignition caused by repeated carb. adjustments to pass CA emissions. It was shipped home to Indiana & stored indoors for 5 years awaiting a rebuild. In 09/2009 the original engine was rebuilt, & a new clutch & brake master cylinder installed, by Baker's Hillham Garage of Hillham, Indiana. A new Keihin carburetor was later installed & tuned at a different garage. The engine rebuild was not done correctly & it will not run right. It hard starts & lacks power, & stalls once warmed up. New fuel pump & fuel pump cutoff also installed but did not help. It has run but not been driven in the past 3 years.
I have not been able to further repair it due to health & cost. I am moving at the end of October, & must sacrifice this Honda to a new owner who can give it the love & attention it deserves. Other pics available upon request.
