Re: Which tires i need to buy for 17"/18" rims
we would need the width primarily cause each rim width will only fit a certain width of tire..
learn what the tire numbers mean too.. you'd be able to figure it out yourself if you did.. which you should. never hurts to figure shit out yourself

Re: Which tires i need to buy for 17"/18" rims
18's won't fit on an S13 without fender rolling and They will be hard to fit on an S14, you'll need to figure out the offset. BTW, the width should be half or more then half of the diameter. SO 17's on front you need at least 8.5, let's say 8 cause more prolly won't fit without spacers, in back with 17's you need at least 9 to not be gay.

just to let you know since your new.. when Logik said S13 / S14.. he is referring to the chassis code for the 240sx's. S13 being the 1989 to 1994 model, S14 being the 1995 to 1998 model. to break it down further... 1989 - 1990 is the S13 zenki (aka pignose) 1991 - 1994 is the S13 chuki (engine upgraded to twin cam aka ka24de) 1995 - 1996 is the S14 zenki 1997 - 1998 is the S14 kouki this is of course, listed with more specifics in the first 3 threads at the top of the forum... |

18x7.5 +42 Fit on unrolled fenders.(dont ask how I know) 18s on a S14 are no big thing. Everyone acts like fender rolling is some huge mod that takes 11ty billion hours to do. TO BE FLUSH / WIDE / BIG YOU NEED TO ROLL THE FENDERS |

Re: Re: Re: Which tires i need to buy for 17
the 17x9.5 will need fender rolling on s13 and s14.. hte offset is ok tho, no spacers need on s14, i would go with a 17x9 to be safe..

18x7.5 is a gay size, that's why I didn't count it. Also, I said without fender rolling because he obviously will be overwhelmed by the task, I mean he thought S13 and S14 were tire sizes, don't expect him to know how to roll his fenders.
Ok, I didn't know 18s fit, but 18x7.5 is still teh ghey so my comment still stands.... |
