i got the cold air and ram air who makes an ignition system for the 92 240
i got a header and muffler
what else can i get to make some power
are cams even worth the money?

does an ecu reprogram change anything about the tranny (its an auto) if not who sells a shift kit for it and who makes a torque converter for these cars i have been searching for a while and can't seem to find one anywhere

thanks

Re: ka power

ditch the auto trans.

dont give me any excuses like "i live in a place with lots of traffic, so a manual would be a pain" or anything of the sort.

get a 5-speed conversion then boost our engine. you will be so happy that youll give me money

Re: ka power

the fastest cars in the world are all automatic or some form of it so why hate on the auto

id rather build it up to handle power than get rid of it

i say if you have under 200hp than you need a stick, over 200hp auto is fine.

i plan on having more than 200hp in this car

news flash, your not gonna have the fastest car in the world. those cars are auto's cause they run the quater mile in under 4 seconds. you wont get near twice that.

Re: ka power

most smaller cars mainly imports are under 200hp they are quick ad fun to drive but only if you have a stick. they are kinda slow with an auto. once you go over the 200hp mark it doesn't make much difference. its just a personal observation i have made in my time behind the wheel. (you owe me a coke and dont assume things it makes you sound like an ass)

i never said i was gona have the fastest car in the world i was just saying i have an auto and am keeping it and wanted to know why you hate autos so much

all the top fuel cars are auto thier is no time for clutches or shifting. almost all the high end super cars are some sort of auto (the padle shifter on ferrarris clutchless system on mclarens manumatic on bmw's porshces...)

as far as racing autos are more consistant (better for bracket racing)
cheaper to make quicker (drag radials and a TC you can take a sec off 1/4 time)
and they are easier on your drivetrain (less breakage)

hes sorta right as far as the 1/4th goes, i guess. my buddy has an auto mustang gt and he did a bunch of tranny work. i makes a world of difference. at least left foot braking would be easy.

however, not being able to heel-toe and down shift properly would get to me. but then again, i'm not a drag racer. i won't even tell you what my dad told me when i was 15 lookin at auto rx7's, it was pretty brutal.

short of that dude, logikal is right, you need a turbo. gettin an sr would be the easiest option, but you'll probably have to swtch to manual. i heard auto sr's can be harder to find.

Re: ka power

i shouldn't get involed but i gotta here. Last time i checked you still shift the paddle shifter cars thats semi auto. There are reasons why 5spd is better then your normal Slosh box auto. wait logkial is right this is dumb.

Re: ka power

i guess i do need more time behind the wheel seeing as how i own more cars right now than you have probably driven.

you admit to sounding like an ass.... and then start to talk about booty.... then call me a moron ..... wow at least i have enough brain power to keep on one subject

you asume i suck at driving stick because i say autos are easier on the drivetrain than stick ... kid you need to go learn a few things and then come back here and agree with me because so far i have given you examples of everything i have said and you have done nothing but call me things and talk about booty

wow,i think that about sums you up, not much going on for ya, huh?

I like how owning more cars makes you a better driver better go out get me and old trans am pick up and then i'll know everything!

have you ever driven an DB7? WS6? RX-7TT? 5.0 cobra? 850R? STI? i could go on for few hours if need be.

if you care about drag racing only auto is better but IRL street track everyday stick for the win.

no stop mouthing off and get me that DR. Pepper!
