MazdaSpeed Proteges were limited production cars.Turbo charged 2 liter engines,5 speed tranny ,Tokico suspension, secial wheels and tires, great sound system, special interior trim, special brakes.Great cars.If u r hubby doesnt want it u will have no trouble selling it.BJ

Re: 2003 mazdaspeed protege 5
Any automotive guide like Kelley has to have enough buying and selling going on to accurately price the car. There were not enough of the MazdaSpeed Proteges made for Kelley or anyone else to price it.The cars were about 20K new if I remember correctly. You should go on the web at Auto Trader.com and see if there are other cars like it and price accordingly or go to a Mazda dealer and have the used car manager appraise it for u.BJ

Bump. There are 3 MazdaSpeed Proteges on AutoTrader right now all low mileage cars. The asking prices range from 16,000 to 18000 dollars so I would price yours accordingly.BJ

Maybe he loves the car so much he doesnt want to put a lot of miles on it. Does he drive it at all?

Re: 2003 mazdaspeed protege 5
A "Protege 5" is the wagon model. If he's got the turbo model it's just a Mazdaspeed Protege. Often called "Speed Proteges" by the dealership.
Edmunds has value on these cars... depending on the year, it's probably worth 12-15k. It seemed the first year or so they held their value well, now they are not worth a whole lot. |

Thats cuz the Mazdaspeed 3 is the new hott car from mazda. Its also limited production and thats smart the the mileage stays low on it.

Re: 2003 mazdaspeed protege 5
Mazdaspeed protege 5 doesn't exist, the protege 5 it's a wagon. I paid for my titanium gray metalic 2003.5 mazdaspeed protege $13,000 with 49,000 miles, very clean.
