What would be the best way to go about repairing my dent?
Hey,
I drive a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I love my car to death, and unfortunantly someone hit my car and evaded paying for it which I wont get into. (Biggest bull ever, let's just call it a hit & run.) But now I'm stuck with a quote for $2500 and $1168 from my dealership and then Service King to repair this dent. There has to be a cheaper way. I have some pictures, so if someone knowledgable in this kind of thing could take a look and let me know the best way to go about repairing the damage. Also, has anyone repaired dings and dents on their cars and might know something I could do? http://i35.tinypic.com/9km0x4.jpg http://i35.tinypic.com/2zrojue.jpg http://i38.tinypic.com/30t07j4.jpg http://i35.tinypic.com/b4dmas.jpg http://i33.tinypic.com/whb9f.jpg Other side; what is should look like: http://i37.tinypic.com/jhafcm.jpg http://i38.tinypic.com/qxo4uo.jpg Thanks for the help, I really appriciate it! |

Re: What would be the best way to go about repairing my dent?
Your damage isnt that bad. far as the front fender in oder to repair it youll need to remove what it called the fender liner. There are clips which hold it in place. After it is remved you can hammer and dolly it but BECAREFUL OF THE BODYLINE!!. The dent by the trunk, if you can get behind it to hit it from the back. If you cant get behind it then you need to pull the nail gun. The pain must be ground off in the area and about 3 inches around the dent for featheredging. the dent on the rear fender can just be hit back in place.

Get a couple more estimates. Try and find a referral from somebody that can direct you to a shop they know and may be willing to work on the price without compromising quality. The estimate should cover the left quarter repaired/painted and blend color left rear door. The estimates are too high. Don't try to fix it yourself unless you have the expertise. Claim it on insurance if you have to.
