Sorento (D) light burned out on guage cluster?

My wife and I recently purchased a "pre-owned" 04 Sorento (loved the the truck, and price) everything is great but I did notice that all of the gear function lights work on the guage cluster excpet for the (D) light ??? any answers; I thought that I saw it on during the test drive but not really sure? any one ellse having this problem?
Any feed back would be great!

Darn - I just developed the same problem. I remembered seeing this post from Way back and was hoping for a solution to be posted. Well, I guess its my turn to find, and provide the answer.

It's just a bulb that, technically, is replaceable once you remove the instrument cluster. Unfortunately these bulbs are not sold seperately from Kia so you would have to buy the whole cluster.

having same problem with 2 kia sorentos both have the (d) light out in the prndl must be a common problem ,anyone with a reason for only the d light out on all sorentos is there a tsb or power spike in the cluster causing this problem
