I'm done wasting money. Can you guys help me out?

I've posted quite a bit of threads lately because I want advice/help on my setup and what not. I've wasted too much friggin $ on subs not to mention I fried my two new kickers. I have my amp and box (holds 2 subs) that I want. All I need is 2 GOOD 12" subs to complete it. My amp is a 1200 watt 2 channel. I need 2 12" subs that will fit in this range. I am willing to spend a bit of money as long as they will be loud. I'm talking like blurred vision, ears hurting, hard to breath, and shaking other peoples clothing and hair from 20+ feet away loud. SQ or SPL (or both) as long as they do this. I really appreciate the help guys, I've learned so flippin much about car audio in the last 2 weeks than I have in my whole life all thanks to you pro's.

Re: I'm done wasting money. Can you guys help me out?

I got a cerwin vega Vmax and I like it alot. 600 wrms is the power handling and it's really clean sounding. IMO. I also like the MTX I used to have. For using as little power it did and costing as little as it did...it compared to my vega which I paid about 3 times as much for. But the MTX was also a bottom line model too. So if there bottom line stuff sounds that good...I can only imagine how the high end stuff is like.

The impact you want with bass is hard to get on a certain budget...you need experience and knowledge. You can't just throw some 12's in a prefab box. You build the box to the sub's SPECS, you get the equipment you want an match amps an then your getting somewhere.

You'll never guess what I just bought. 2 flippin k.v.13 elemental designs. It's free shipping from the site, and they're coming tomorrow via UPS. My box matches the subs recommended cu ft PERFECTLY. They're gonna pound so good... I seriously can not wait.

Re: I'm done wasting money. Can you guys help me out?

Why don't you like ed. Your the first person I've seen on this board who has said something negative about them. eduh??? Little lame don't ya think? Anyways, I got them 2 hours ago and put them in. A guy in town has 2 RE 12 sx's. He wanted to have a "bump off" against me. I was skeptical because, in all honesty, I thought I would lose against resonant engineering even though my subs are REALLY loud. We played bass test songs geared towards SQ and some geared to SPL. My two k.v.13's were louder AND sounded better than his two, and he agreed and was really pissed. I don't think-- I KNOW you won't believe me so I guess I just wasted my time. Oh well, just my

God you ass. Nah just joking. You might have very well been louder. But do you know if his boxes matched his subs? And what was power difference or was there one?

Re: I'm done wasting money. Can you guys help me out?

I asked him and he said that his box matches the subs recommended cu ft and he has a little more juice going to them than he should. But man, was he pissed when we got done. I'm waiting to find my tires slashed or something. Oh well, sucks to be him My Power Acoustik amp shit the bed. I was palyin it loud and then I smelt something funny and next thing I know, my subs sound like shit. I thought I blew them, but I switched amps real quick and found out the Power Acoustik was toast. It still turns on and has a green light, but sounds like hell. I need a new one now. But hey, thanks for believing me man.
