2009 all wheel drive=-
new to the suburu forum.
my friend has a 2009 forester with awd. bought it with about 77,000 miles on it. now about 111,000 miles on it. she took it to the dealer for inspection and i can,t believe what they want to do. About a dozen things including=A transmission flush for about $250. for example even though the vehicle has no record of ever having the fluid changed= suicide of the transmission, etc. The tires ain,t been rotated or balanced in 40,000 miles , but they want to charge her to do it. I,m very sure it ain,t gonna take no balance after that many miles. It,s gotta be time to just buy 4 new tires. Change the front and rear differential fluid. Flush brake and steering fluid and the list goes on and on. what is the main thing to upkeep on this vehicle guys. I really appreciate any advice. |

Would just drain and fill with new transmission fluid, not flush the transmission, if it has never been done before. Changing front and rear differential fluids is recommended. Subaru and other makes recommend changing brake fluid at 30k miles, some people do and some don't. Power steering fluid can be left alone.
