OMG Again! Please Help ASAP!

Ok, so I am driving last night and all of a sudden, my Cluster Ill. went out. Night is not the best time of the day for this to happen. I checked all the fuses last night, all good. I went back to the wiring I had messed with a couple months back, all still in good tact. The only thing I can think is that it has something to do with the Rheostat or the bulb burnt out. As far as the Rheostat, it was shot after my last problem, but all of the lighting still functioned, I was just unable to dim the brightness. I dont want to start takin shit apart to if I do not have to.

I work a night job and am constantly driving each night, so if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where to start Troubleshooting, something I am missing, or what ever, please help me out. (The WebTech tells me pretty much jack shit about where/what to scope out.) Thanks.

i think that your best bet is to replace the bulb if it they worked even after the rheostat was shot it shouldnt be a prob with that..

Ok any takers on givin a brief 101 lesson on how to get to the bulb? The only way I think I know how, is to tear apart the entire crash board. Is this the only route of entry, or is there an easier, more dummy proof way?

I would try checking your ground wires, make sure they have good contact and there is no corosion. Also check the switches and relays, they can get warn out after a while, and relays are notorious for sticking!

Ok I am good now. Sorry for postin the thread so hastily, I was just frustrated and upset when I did. But everything lights up now. I have needed a new Rheostat for a good while now, but I have had interior lights this whole time. Just decided to be a bitch last night lol. Tie a couple wires together and bam! We have illumination. At least for now until I can get the part I need. Thanx for the help all.

Yeah, thats the first thing I check. (I would be a Herb if I didnt check those. lol.) But nah, I know its the Rheostat, so I have the Green/Black wire running through the Black, so I now have working lights, just no dimmer. But here is the strange thing. It started after I was trouble shooting this, but the car has the auto lock when you start the vehicle. Well every so often as I am driving, or the car is on, the it will Auto UN-lock. (???) I do not get it lol. Nothing I cant live with, but any ideas what may be cause that, if it was something I fucked up, or if it is something else. As long as the door don't Auto Open while I am driving I will be ok. Heh.

Yeah, thats right. I have working lights now. Its just the locks acting crazy and my alarm has been too. Thought it was the battery or alt., but I tested both and they are good. Prolly need a new Alarm Button batt.

Oh yeah, and btw, off the topic, does Blue Tribal Flame seat covers convert my car over to Ricerism? lol.
