You have any experience with Elemental Designs?? I think they're supposed to be pretty good too but I've never actually heard them.

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

The ones that probably have had experience with them are NG13, SR21, bumpinstang77 and a few other of the well traveled folks. I remember someone else mentioning Elemental Designs, but I can't remember who. Look at the stickied tread "A start of a newbie thread" to see how they rank according to the peoples of this forum.

Ah...yes, Elemental Designs woofers sound very, very good. Very good performace/money value. If you are on a budget it's a great way to go, and if your not, it still is! Their are many way's you can go....

I've played with 4 13kv.2's ported, 2 sealed, 2 ported, and one sealed, and they all amazed me. I like the sound more then other drivers such as alpines type x, diamond tdx, RF T1. You should look into a couple Ov.2's, i've heard nothing but great things, plus, they are extremely sexy, as are the kv.2's.

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

can u please tell us how much power (rms) you will be running? with that, we can give u better choices

but since you said sq, i'll throw out a bunch of subs that people commonly affiliate with sq

Image Dynamics IDQ/IDMAX
Elemental Design Ov.2 series
Ascendant Audio Atlas/Avalanche
JL Audio W6/W7 series
Resonant Enginnering SE/XXX
Adire Audio Koda/Brahma/Tumult

there are more that jus slipped my mind for the moment

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

thanks for the replies first of all..
well , i'm looking at cheapest and good quality (for the price) subs. I know people will try to kill me by saying, u can't get good quality if you don't pay the price but...
i'm looking at $250 max for subs. (2 subs)
ANd you'll probably notice by now that i'm not a crazy bass guy. i just want decent bass.
i'm thinking around 200~300 rms / each.
if anyone thinks having a good 1 sub is better, let me know.
thanks.

oh and i guess Image Dynamics ID is ok? since it's the cheapest.. and if the quality isn't that bad, i'm willing to take tat

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

to be honest, $250 max isn't going to get you much, you can TRY 2 13kv.2s from elemental designs, but they're kinda the low end

if you can increase your budget, you can get two IDQ12's or one IDMAX12 from sounddomain

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

for $250 a single Atlas 15 will suffice....
the experence i have had with eDuh wasnt the greatest, good but not great. the sad thing was it was neither excruciatingly loud nor was it top notch SQ with great low end extension... eD is good for the price, but IMO from what i have experenced (not a lot) they arent great...

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

Is Infinity 1232w any good?
$62 at sounddomain...
1/3 the price of atlas 15...
rms is same...and i don't see much of a difference spec wise...

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

true RMS isnt the same, trust me. in all reality i think the atlas is very underrated, so is the avalanche. there apre people running 1600w RMS to avalanches and they are taking it like champs, and people runing 600w RMS to atlas's and they are doing just fine. I am not a fan of infinity nor do i think they have a good product, i have only heard a demo car for infinity but still, i dont beleive it is a good product...

Re: Good SQ SUBS??????

the thing is that, i would like to have 2 subs rather than just 1... it looks more balanced.
and i think 2 1230ws are ok for me...

i just need to find an amp for it...

oh, and i see that u make enclosures?

i'll be needing one soon... i think...
