500 "HotRod"
I am classic 500-collector, and I plan building one into HotRod style.
I want it to sound like a "big" Rod, and consider giving it a V6 engine mounted in "back seat position". (I am not going to drive it for real, just park it in front of the cafe!!) It will be a quite tight squeeze, so i think i might go for an engine from a front wheel drive V6. Does anybody have an idea on what engine to choose ? -VW/Audi is obvious, but I would prefer something 1960/1970s. What other cars has been made with V6 FWD? A Harley engine might be fun as well.... Has anybody tried bolting a bike engine onto a car rear end ? -Or has anybody experience from transplanting engines into 500s? |
