Exhaust Manifold Replacement

hi,

As you all know, Ex Manifold is a comon problem for Xterra(I believe older than 2003).. I have the same problem.

There is a noise coming from it and mechanic said it is the exhaust manifold.. They charge me a good amount for labor.. and did not tell me which one has crack.. .

I know this manifolds from NAPA may charge around 60 $ each, so was just wondering if I can place it myself..

I also need help in finding out which one has crack so that i don't order wrong one. I think it is drivers side, but that does not match the facts that 9 out of 10 times it is passenger side... any easy idea to find it out?

I have few books and they suggest what to do to remove and put it back, although will get some advise from some pros here since they have helped me very nice in past saving me bunch of money...

thanks a lot. Xterra is 2000 XE V 6 / 3.3. L, 2WD.
