Re: Chassis Plaques - (clear pictures)

Been a while since we had a NEW addition here.

I asked Dirk if he'd taken a chassis plate photo of GTR #05R in France and he sent this along for me to share.

Also - Alex and I were chatting earlier and he brought to my attention that #07R's chassis plate is a bit of an oddball because instead of saying '07R' like you'd expect it to, it reads 'GTR07'. Very strange...

Re: Chassis Plaques - (clear pictures)

I hope to do a best shot, it was quite hard to stabilize the camera.

Re: Chassis Plaques - (clear pictures)

I've added another one of #047 in an article from a German magazine Prestige Cars when they ran a road test of it

Re: Chassis Plaques - (clear pictures)

Just added MSO's #04R plate and corrected a few dead links

Henry, would there be any chance you can shed some light on this query from Erik a few posts ago?

Re: Chassis Plaques - (clear pictures)

Possibly changed when it was converted for road use? Though why they would is unclear.

XPGT see attached
I guess as the car was in storage the original plate was not checked hence the differing descriptions between Anniversary plate and original.

Re: Chassis Plaques - (clear pictures)

Also - not sure if it has been mentioned before but a 20th Anniversary as well as being known as China can also be referred to as Platinum although Platinum is also 75 years as well I think??

Anyway, these 20th Anniversary Gathering chassis plates were coated in Platinum to add a final touch to them, not sure if you chaps had noticed...

I would have guessed something different, but they sure do look pretty.
