Re: FOUND - McLaren F1 Replica!!!!!
Errmm OK so it isn't going to fool a lot of people into thinking it's the real thing. The 4th seat is bizzare but you have to aplaud his efforts, it's not the easiest of cars to replicate and honestly he has made a better job than the others he has had a go at. With a bit more effort and less reliance on scrap parts it could have looked a lot better.
High marks for effort and audacity, let down by silly and unnecessary deviances but at least it goes. Apologies for spelling errors been up over 48 hours. |

Re: FOUND - McLaren F1 Replica!!!!!
Sorry to bump an old thread - this seemed like the most appropriate place post this, however.
I happened across an older article (2011) about a fellow building a McLaren F1 LM replica. Trying to dig up more information lead me to an advertisement for the same car (the shell at least). From what I gather, the foundation is a cutup Pontiac Fiero and the intent was to power it with a Honda NSX drivetrain. I have to say, this effort is an impressively good representation of a real-deal F1. Article: CarNews - DreamWorks builds out of [production] cars Listing: Ruten TW - McLaren F1 LM replica car shell This appears be the same replica that Erik previously created a thread about: McLaren F1 LM replica - Made in Taiwan |
