kenwood tornado subs vs????

I got a question I plan on using just one subwoofer on a 1000watt kenwood amp should I keep the kenwood subs(700watts max 4ohm each I plan on selling one of them) or should I get a single more powerful subwoofer like a 2ohm dvc sub or something??? I just want one good subwoofer to use in my truck

Re: kenwood tornado subs vs????

I think you probably have the KAC-7252 ( http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/L...k3=155&pr=2015 )
In this case, it's 170Wx2 @ 4 ohms, and 250Wx2 @4 ohms.
edit:
It could also be the KAC-8152D. If this is it, it's 300Wx1 @ 4 ohms, and 550x1 @ 2ohms.

Re: kenwood tornado subs vs????

Your sub looks to be either KFC-2505 or KFC-2525DVC.

Is it a 10" sub?

I've got two of the KFC-2525DVC's ($30 pawn) and I outperform every dual 12" setup I've come across, and all but one dual 15". Dual/triple 10" and single driver setups don't even compare to me. I've caused one person a bloody nose, another an epileptic seizure, and numerous breathing problems.

They are awesome subs, in my humble experience.

Jet lee you must be a complete idot. You didn't give anyone nosebleeds, Breathing problems, or what the hell ever else with 2 damn Kenwood 12's. Original poster If that amp puts out max power at 4 ohms get an SX from www.reaudio.com. If it does at 2 ohms get an SE.

Yeah, you can tell all that from a computer screen, huh?

Who said 12's?

Did you even look up the speaker?

Drive your ass down here and sit in my car, or shut the fuck up.

Yes the amp puts out max power at 4ohms bridge so that would mean I have to use a 4 ohm sub???? would a 2 ohm work better???

Hell come sit in my truck will make you breath harder and voice distort like hell but like bumpin said a nosebleed maybe but an epilectic seizure thats pushin the limit there as far as storys go. Not calling you a liar since you can apparantly collapse your lungs with a stereo, at least you didnt say "yeah i can blow out windows" ive seen that so many times from newbs.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: kenwood tornado subs vs????

Where is "down here" Watch I'll probably go to some hick ass town in the middle of West by god Virginia where everyone's running ghey sony xplods and kenwoods. Let me guess you got some 60hz wonders. HOLY SHIT YOU MIGHT BE HITTING A 135!!!!!! That's SOOOOOO LOUD!!!!!!!! Damn. Dude not to sound like a dick, but I'd probably laugh at your setup. You have to realize I drive around for about an hour and a half everyday blaring two ported 18's and 3000 watts. Not much out there can impress me. Single SX 12's, single SX 15's, Avalanche 15, two sealed Avalanche 15's, 2 ported SE 15's all setups around here that are not impressive to me and not the least bit loud, except for the 2 se's and sx15, which would both DEMOLISH your kenwoods. Sorry talk to me when you running something that can get loud.

Re: kenwood tornado subs vs????

I'm not a big fan of Kenwood HU's, even though I'm running one and No JBL's are not the best value to sound. Gti 15's are 700 MSRP, better can be had for cheaper, JBL does however make some good products. I love their amps.
