Re: Alfa Romeo T33/3 a 1/12
wow pablo, just wow. will you re-cast the engine block parts in metal or will you paint the resin? seeing how everything else is made from metal i surely hope it will be actual metal. incredible work and to know this is 1/12.. even more impressive.
and all the best to your wife! -r |

Re: Alfa Romeo T33/3 a 1/12
Dear friends do not really know how the board will only have learned to place photos and receive your comments. Do not know if there is a problem, because I did not receive any strange commentary on the latest photos. There are limitations on content? Not English and I find it hard to understand what happens or who I have to get in touch on the page.
I hope your help pablominiaturas |

Just stunning!! You really should make a kit out of this. That has to be the most accurate Alfa T33/3 engine I have ever seen(even better than the real ones I have seen on "restored cars").

Re: Alfa Romeo T33/3 a 1/12
hi pablo, i love how this piece came out with the flare (?) around the holes. and seeing how you did it with the punches in the post two above the one where this pic came from it seems "easy enough". but i have a question. on the paper in the background of this pic, there is an oval hole with two centers and a straight bit between it. how do you do those with the punches? just punch out the two cirlces with the marked centers and then file away the rest inbetween?
that would end with two half circlular flares on the outer edges and nothing on the straight part inbetween. i need to do a hole just like that on your piece of paper there. and another one with a rectangular shape with rounded corners. and i can't think of how to do the flare / raised edge on the straight parts between the corners . any help / ideas are appreciated. i have thought about creating a "master" with a slightly bigger hole than the one that should be in the metal part. then putting that underneath my metal and slowly and carefully chiseling away at it to bend the inner edge down and then file the edge of. but since i don't have a lathe or a mill, this is going to be very very exhausting. |
