Anyway, on to the progress with the 935 Here's some reference pictures from Dijon in 1976 that I am using to base my build on. The engine bay is next on the list... I've finished the front end I'm really enjoying this project. I hope you're all enjoying the progress and don't mind the reference gag Not that anyone was foooled

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 935 with SMS detail set
I love the older race cars. They look so hand made and imperfect. The new cars look boring and almost clinical. I would say do the Lemans car, but you have the later intercoolers not yet used at LM in 1976.
I was amazed at how much the engine changed on these cars during 1976 when I researched my 1/24th model. Great work. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2009 model contest-chicago April 25th 2009 |

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 935 with SMS detail set
Since the MOTY is around ... I´m thinking of this being a WIP-Link and proof for your AFMOTY 2009?? This modeling beats my and is surely hard to beat by anybodyelse.
Great stuff. Robert P.S.: I´m honest. You fooled me. I´m just that naive!

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 935 with SMS detail set
I dont want to start crap here, but I dont think that is a real model.
This is a 1:1 car right? Haha! Just kidding of course. Man these details are amazing. I am a detail freak, and this is absolutely killer. Awesome man! Andy |

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 935 with SMS detail set
I've seen a lot of 'superdetailed' 935's, but non of them came 'alive'.
This one does ... Way to go Rob!

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 935 with SMS detail set
Lost for words it has to be the best 935 build I have seen, just love the detail. The weathering really brings it to life. That front end looks totally real, can't wait for the next update! I am going to build the 1:12, 934 sometime soon with the SMS set, but not to this detail, it would take me about 10 years with your detail, and still be no where near.
