Re: Type S V/S Mustang GT
You should be able to take him right now, ive beat a couple of the 2 body styles ago mustang gt's (the round body style) with my civic si. Just get a better launch, if your planning on moding your car then, unless you plan on going turbo in the future, id go with a Cold air intake, and shorty header/race header depending on if you have emissions testing. You can beat him just have a little confidence!

Re: Type S V/S Mustang GT
Cheapest things are a cold air intake, Hondata, headers and tires. Athough you should be able to take him now, any of those mods will make a big enough difference.

However, if you really want to run with Mustang GTs, nitrous is the easiest way to go. Otherwise, just tell him that you have a nicer interior and a higher resale value. Last edited by Mendari; 02-24-2005 at 11:30 AM. |

Re: Type S V/S Mustang GT
It depends on what year mustang it was. I have seen RSX-S' break into the 14's with just an intake, so beating a pre 1999 GT ( not sure what year they upped the HP) is completely possible.
But the mustangs like the 94-98 are 15 second 1/4 miles cars.

From 1994 - 1998, it had restrictive heads (I don't know why??). In 1999, it finally came with the Performance Improved heads. However, the pre 1994 Mustang GT with the 5.0 was a low 14 second car. Get an N.O.S. Noszle System and give him a run for his money. http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...ondaNOSzle.htm |
