Re: 1/20 McLaren MP 4/4 Tamiya+TS Detail
Here you go gents.
I was quite fortunate as the car had mechanical problems so was in pieces and being worked on by the McLaren mechanics as I was walking by. Hope these help and I'll be following this WIP closely. KC |

Hi Turbo,
Those connectors look great. Can you comment on what you painted them with and the process? Thanks. KC |

Re: 1/20 McLaren MP 4/4 Tamiya+TS Detail
Hi
Its very simple. first it was sprayed with gunze surfacer, then gunze C black and alclad pale burnt metal on top. chrome fittings are painted with MRP Chrome. MRP is new Slovakian based brand with paints and modeling tools. http://www.mrpaint.sk/ Later I will add grey/black for rubber parts and some wash on it |

Thank you. your 1/12 lambos were amazing too
Brake discs are washed and treated with graphite sanded from pencil to enhance shine. It didnt work that much nor it is visible in the picture Wheels are painted with gunze black+drop of cool white. Valve stem is from acustion and its just dry fitted image hosting site no sign up |

Very interesting with the shoe polish. It adds a fresh unused look to the tires. Will decals still stick to it such as the inventory barcodes and tire info sheets on some of the decal sets? Overall it looks really good.
