Cam and Alternator Belts Breakage

Hi,

Recently, both the Cam and Alternator belts in my car broke.

The car is only 6 years old and has done just under 53,000 miles, so well under the advisable time/mileage to change these belts.

Anyone had this happening to you?

Any ideas as to why this may happen prematurely and what causes it?

Thanks.

Cheers
MotorMad

Re: Cam and Alternator Belts Breakage

It was a Ford Mondeo.

Does it matter the type of car?
