Headlamp Assembly Conversion
I have a 2006 BMW 525i. I ordered the only headlamp assembly offered from my supplier for this model. The lamp I received uses (2) halogen bulbs. Now I find that our car had adaptive headlamps with a xenon low beam bulb. I could not care less if my bulb reflectors move when the steering wheel is turned or not. My question is, will the plain vanilla light assembly with the (2) halogen bulbs plug into my wiring harness and work without causing drivability problems to show up? I'm concerned about warning lights, bells, whistles, alarms, etc. I would prefer to get shed of the adaptive system. Those replacement light assemblies appear to be close to a thousand bucks.
