Question Falken or Nitto? What do you think?

Which do you like better? What are the two known/good for or bad at? Thanks

I don't hear much good about Nitto, and Falken, it depends on what tire you get. If you have "17's I doubt you'd get the Azenis sports pictured above, although they are great racing tires (grip and cornering type racing, NOT drag racing). Unless it's the Azenis sports, I'd highly recommend the Yokohama AVS ES100's. Awesome grip tire, and great wet weather handling as well, not to mention they would work just fine in "17 size, and would look great for show as well. That's what I have on my Civic and I speak from experience on this.

Yeah, I just picked those two companies because I hear little things here and there about them. Never really anything that would help me make a choice. I'm still debating on what size to get though.

I hear ya' For tire size, it all depends on what size dimensions your rims your getting are. If rim size is 17x7, then I wouldn't get anything other than 205/40 17. That's pretty much the standard tire size for "17 wheels on Hondas. If you went 215/40 17 you'd more likely than not end up having problems with the tires rubbing the inside of the fenders when you turn or have compression of the suspension such as going up ramps or bumps at angles.

Contrary to popular belief, azenis are a wicked tire for drag racing, other than some BFG's or true slicks. My bud cuts consistent sub-2second short times on some rotas with azenis in a 350 WHP turbo hatch.

Just go for Yokohama Parada Spec 2 or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
I myself have the Yokohama and to me they are the best....well right next to the Eagle F1. My friend has the Eagle F1 and I rate thows right there with the Yokohama maby even better.

Yeah if you did it on the street then you're dumb. At least do it legally.

Just an FYI, I taked with an Advan/Yokohama tech rep at the RS*R drift event last April, and he told me point blank that the ES100 is the best tire they make for the US market (exception of the Advan A032R of course). But as far as ultra high performance street tire, the ES100 is the best Yoko has to offer to us that's street legal.

Man! So many replies. This is nice. I'm moving more toward Falken now. I think I'll go with the 512 Ziex tires on 16s. I dont know, 17s seem too big. Arent they to heavy? Is performance lost? Thanks
