As long as the civic was a stick shift then I'd pick that any day over any year pontiac. More reliable, better on gas and regardless of how slow the civic may be, their always fun to drive for some reason.

The pontiac may give you a better cushy ride and extra room, thats the only thing I could say better about the grand am.

I sell foreign parts though so maybe I'm biased.

I'm with Tom, only I'd even take an automatic Civic. I never liked the Grand Am or really any Pontiac - just not my style.

Having been around Grand Ams, I will tell you that the 3.4 liter engines in them have problems leaking more often than not and will likely leave you needing work done to them. The only motor GM put in their Pontiacs that I thought were worth a nickel were the 3800 series engines.

Go with the Honda.

Re: 1995 Honda Civic Sedan or 200 Pontiac Grand Am?

I would prefer to have a Sedan than a Grand Am. I read lots of reviews about the two cars and found out that a Grand Am has good and bad reputations to car fanatics.

They say that a Sedan has good auto parts and maintenance is not a problem because a 4 year warranty for Honda owners are always available.
