Making of ... Toyota Corolla WRC (*Progress Pics*)
Due to excess of work here is a quick progress picture of my current project, the Toyota Corolla WRC. As promise, no F1 this time
Body was painted with two applications of primer and tree applications of pure white. This one will be the Carlos Sainz version. Hope to post some decent progress pictures soon. |

Very nice so far!
I have at home one on waiting too. Is it Hasegawa or Tamiya?

Yep, this one is a Tamiya.
I have started it just after I've finished the Benetton, about one and a half, two weeks. Apart from the progresses in the chassis and body shown in the picture I've also completed all the interiors (except the roll-bar) and windows. At this time of my life I have about 1 hour per day for modelling, this during the week. Fortunately I still have the weekends and that's when 90% of my work is made. |

Update – 19-10-2002
Chassis is finally completed and ready to start working in the interiors. Need only to do some paint repair in the rims and apply them some decals. The body is coming quite nice. I have applied already many decals, but not reach half of them. Anyway they give a real good prevision of how the final model will look like. Beautiful. I will try to apply them all during this weekend and then let the body rest for about 4, 5 days. I will then apply 2 coats of clear, let it rest for more 3 to 4 days and finally paint the windows frames. |

Update – 20-10-2002
All decals are placed in the body. It will rest now in a box for 5 days before I apply the clear coats. This will prevent any damage to the decals and give me enough time to finish the interiors. About the decals for this model, some special attention to the sides, front and back Castrol color since they are applied into a surface with many curves. It will take some patience to get a satisfactory result. |

I use it since my first car model so I can give 11 years of warranty without any cracked or yellowish decals. Only one care to have with this product, let the decals rest for about 4 to 5 days in the body before applying X-22. If they are not firmly applied they can lift of and be permanently damage. As I learned the hard way. |
