More horsepower??? Nahhh, go gears!
Do the simple stuff, like Hypertune reprogram the chip, 160 degree thermostat, maybe add high ratio (1.7) roller rocker arms... but the best bang for the buck is changing the rear end gears. Comes with something like 2.79 ratio, I installed a set of 4.56's in my '96 and '97 Roadmaster sedans and that made a world of difference!!! Summit Racing parts has a line of gears named 'Superior' that are OEM compatable as far as keeping the anti-lock brakes sensor and they are only about $185.00 Think about being on a 10 speed bike, what is the easiest way to get moving 'quicker'? Bulk up and double the muscles in your legs, or, put the bike in a lower gear? The gear change makes the biggest change you can experience for the dollar!!! The overdrive (top gear) with 4.56 gears is still only like a 3.20 ratio in a non overdrive car, (one with only a 1 to 1 final drive top gear). 65 mph cruising at only about 2500 rpms.
