1965/66 Mustang
I've found it quite difficult since completing the 1/12 scale 312T to start anything else but finally I seem to have made some progress.
This project is a 1965 Mustang fastback which will get the robrex treatment. For all those original musclecar fans don't panic, I'm planning on following this build with a replica stock version. I've had this project planned for quite some time but as I stated earlier on, I needed some motivation. Where else could I turn but my lathe.... here's a set of wheels I made entirely out of aluminium. The fronts are scale 18" wheels while the backs are 19"s. The tyres are from pegasus. Next I swapped the original 289 with a 5.4 from the new mustang kit (yes I know it's 1/25 vs. 1/24 ). I also machined all of the pulleys and the supercharger with big plans for the intake system The paint is Zero-paints Ferrari Grigio Alloy which I settled on after trying to get some of the original Silver Blue metallic to no avail. I do like this colour though! The body has also undergone a few modifications. I moved the turn signal indicators next to the headlights but everytime I look at it I regret the decision What do you all think? Next on the agenda is clearcoat and detailing on the body then a full chassis replacement / modification to handle the extra power up front and improve the ride, followed by an interior workover. I'll try to keep the updates coming.....

Re: 1965/66 Mustang
I have no problem with where the turn signals are now. I have seen your work before and if you put them there, thats a-ok with me. But wow, those pulleys are incredible. I'm putting on my seat belts for this wild wip. Amazing work so far, especially those wheels.

Re: 1965/66 Mustang
Wow does that paint look great!!! I have been wanting to see the Grigio on anything. This makes me glad I decided to buy it. I will definitely use this on a non-ferrari model now. BTW - I like the turn signal mod the way it is. Kind of modern looking to me.
