i was just sitting in traffic and my car started idleing higher than normal. it would just go up and down from 500 to a little under 1000. there was no wierd sounds. but i was just wondering if this was normal or is there a problem.

Re: funny idle

TPS is a possibility, another is the ICM or Ignition Control Module.

I dont think its the TPS because he said it was just idling, I think its his ICM, and for me it was a bitch to replace.

Re: funny idle

the ICM???? geeze its easy, just pull up the cap, undo the electrical connector, undo the two bolts and pull it off. then reverse to install it. at least thats how it goes on the third gens.
