water in oil

Have a 00 GTP; it's been sitting a while, and I drained the oil the other day. Oil looked like a chocolate milk shake, and I have coolant on top the intake manifold, so I figure it has to be the infamous intake manifold gasket.

Pull the blower and intake, sure enough the gasket is fried. Put a new one in (aluminum one with the silicone o rings), and put everything back together.

Put 5 quarts of oil in first, then put in about a gallon and a half of water and maybe 2 quarts of the orange antifreeze (all I had in the garage at the time). I have the upper radiator hose and water neck off, and put the water directly into the intake manifold.

Bought some more antifreeze to finish topping it off this morning, and before I put any more in, decide I should check the dipstick....sure enough, the dipstick is covered in water.

I have not turned the car over since pulling the intake, so I doubt it's a head gasket issue.

Thoughts? Next step is to hook up the neck and upper radiator hose and do a pressure test.....but has anyone else had anything like this happen?

Re: water in oil

If the head and intake flange areas are corroded, they would need some repair. Some are so bad that replacement is necessary.
