1965 L79 Dip Stick

I am restoring a numbers matching 1965 Chevelle 327/350HP engine. Yes- the block etc matches the VIN. Stamp F0508EC
I need to identify the correct factory dip stick tube and dip stick right down to the handle style and the finish. I found a half dozen of these online but there is not enough information on them to choose the correct item. What are the specs on the original factory parts? How long is the tube tip-to-tip? Does the tube have a step in it? Was the tube chrome? Was the handle chrome? Was the handle tubular or pressed flat? How long was the dip stick? etc.

I can't help on the tube length nor dipstick length, but the tube and dipstick were originally steel, and were eventually painted orange with the rest of the engine.

I just pulled one out that is chrome. Owner says it is original. This is what I am trying to determine. I have another 66 327 300 and it is plain steel painted but it is longer than the chrome one. They sell 5 or 6 different ones for this application and I am trying to find out how it came from the factory. So you think the 65 327/350 L79 was not chrome?
