Won't start after rain
My 1997 Plymouth Breeze doesn't want to start after it rains. It turns over just fine, but it won't fire up. After it dries out a day or two the car starts just fine until it rains again. Car has 102K miles and problem started just a month ago or so. It did fine through the winter snow. Go figure.
My mechanic says he's looked at everything he can think of and we're both scratching our heads. Any suggestions? |

Re: Won't start after rain
When its running spray down the coil pack with water and see if it dies

Re: Won't start after rain
It's because it is a Plymouth Breeze, they are only supposed to work right when it is nice and breezy outside. Just kidding.
Sounds to me like to much moisture is getting in to your intake, check to make sure your air filter is good and tight and there aren't any leaks leading up to your intake. |

Re: Won't start after rain
I would try what the other guy said first I wasn't thinking about that but I've heard of that check before now that I think of it that sometimes they won't work right when they get wet.
