I need help dropping the differential

I am in the process of changing the oil pan gasket. I need to drop the differential. I have removed the frame to differential bolts, the U-Joint, and the axle to frame bolts. Do I now need to remove the hub assembly and pull the axle from the differential to get it to drop. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
