Bleeding abs brakes

So I replaced the master cylinder, and the pedal was not as hard as I expected. I bench bleed MC and all wheels, I thought maybe there is air in ABS module. Then I realize that it just snowed so I drive around the block and lock the brakes and make the ABS unit actuate several times.
Question is this the same as the ABS bleeding done with the scan tool?
At 30 mph the abs turns on for a good 5 seconds.
Opinions welcome.
Another thought, maybe thoses flexable lines between the master cylinder and ABS unit are slightly swelling and causing some softness in the brake pedal. These must have a plastic core with the stainless steel exterior, since they are flexable they must be plastic. I have heard complaints about GM having soft brake pedal maybe this is why. Maybe I will replace these with rigid steel lines.
